Commercial Insurance 

If you have private insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or your employer, they will usually cover Chiropractic services. You’ll need to check with your specific plan to see how many visits they will cover. Typically, insurance will cover between 20-30 visits in a calendar year. This number varies based on why you’re seeking care. It’s important to note that while insurance may cover part of the cost, the patient is responsible for co-pays or co-insurance payments. 

Medicare

Medicare patients will Only receive coverage for Chiropractic adjustments. If Strategic Health Solutions needs to do X-rays, decompression, or any other services they will need to be paid out of pocket. For adjustments, Medicare patients and Medicare replacement plans will usually have an $8 to $20 co-pay. Medicare services include:

• Medicare Exam – $25
• X-ray per area – $30
• Additional modalities – $25

When you receive additional services that Medicare doesn’t cover, patients are required to sign an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN). The ABN is a letter stating that Medicare may deny covering certain services, and the patient is responsible for payment.

Just Remember: Medicare has an annual deductible that needs to be met first before they pay anything. This year $233 has to be met as a deductible.
